To avid Bass anglers, this charter service is often described as a divine gift, and the reasons behind this distinction are as clear as the pristine waters that glisten beneath the Florida sun. Captain JP McKay's journey with these waters began in 1982, forging an unbroken bond that spans over 30 consecutive years on Lake Okeechobee and the sprawling Everglades. His remarkable career is studded with 27 years as a tournament angler, marked by over 100 victories and the capture of some truly magnificent fish. With each outing, Captain JP's legend grows, and his expertise shines ever brighter. But it's not just the numbers and victories that set Captain JP apart; it's his boundless positivity and the genuine delight he derives from sharing his profound knowledge with his guests. With an understanding of the Bass's feeding patterns, spawning habits, seasonal nuances, and the subtleties of the fish themselves, he becomes an invaluable companion on your angling journey. The joy he experiences while witnessing his guests' sheer excitement as they land their biggest Bass, their very first catch, or even an astonishing quantity of Bass, which often reaches an impressive 40 to 50 in a single day, is truly infectious. Lake Okeechobee Bass Whisper Guide spares no effort in ensuring your fishing experience is top-notch. Captain JP provides an impressive array of top-quality fishing gear, including Shimano spinning rods and reels, bait casters, and an assortment of lures that would make any angler's heart race. For those who prefer live bait, Shiners can be purchased prior to the trip, with Native Shiners available at a reasonable $10 per dozen, and Wild Golden Shiners, known for their effectiveness, at $20 per dozen. Your angling adventure unfolds aboard JP's trusty 21' Storm Bass boat, meticulously crafted in 2009 to provide the ultimate fishing experience.
