It was my first time fishing in the Everglades, and having JP by our side made the experience incredible. He was helpful the entire time, keeping us engaged and sharing his knowledge on different lures, bait, and techniques. Thanks to his guidance, we caught a variety of fish including Gar, Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, Cichlids, Jaguar Guapote, and even Oscars. On top of that, we spotted a gator—such an awesome experience!

I had one of the best fishing experiences ever today, bringing my best friend along for his very first trip with Captain JP Mcay. The day was full of laughs, learning, and nonstop fun, all while enjoying great weather and plenty of hungry fish. It was also my first time fishing on a boat, and it couldn’t have gone better. Captain JP is not only a fantastic guide but also a teacher and entertainer who makes you feel comfortable and sets you up for success. He gave us hands-on tips and tricks to land some powerful fish, and once we got the hang of casting and setting the hook, the action never stopped. His boat was clean and fast, and all the gear worked perfectly. I’d rate the whole experience a 10/10 and highly recommend anyone looking for a great day on the water to book with Captain JP!

Captain JP knows exactly where to find the fish. We had an amazing 4 hours on the water with him, and he was patient with beginners, taking the time to show us useful tips and tricks. He’s kind, easy to talk to, and made the whole trip enjoyable. We caught nearly 25 fish, making it not just a fishing trip but a real adventure. Highly recommend booking with Captain JP!

We fished all day with just one bait—which is rare in bass fishing. I wasn’t sure at first, but then I landed a 5-pounder, followed by a 6-pounder, and even had an 8-pounder miss the hook! Add in plenty of 2–3 pounders along the way, and it was non-stop action. If you’re after BIG bass, this is the charter for you. The boat is beautiful, the gear is top-notch, and the experience is nothing but fun.
